3 Ancient Greek Beauty Recipes Every Woman Should Know!

Greece has an amazing history and they have lots to offer when it comes to Natural health and Beauty. Thanks to Cleopatra we have access to 100s of her Beauty Treatments even now. Greeks used all kinds of Natural Herbs, Oils and Minerals to beautify themselves. They used Almonds, Olive Oil, Honey, Sea Salt, Milk, Yogurt, Clay, Essential Oils liberally in their Beauty Regimen. Today I am sharing 3 Ancient Greek Beauty Recipes. I have also created 3 separate recipe cards with images so that you can print them and refer to them easily in the future.

Yogurt and Vanilla Facial Mask Recipe

1 Tbsp. Greek Yogurt
1 Vanilla Bean Pod
1 Tsp. Raw Honey
1/2 Ripe Tomato

Instructions:

You can either powder your Vanilla bean or soak it in 1 tsp. warm water for 20 minutes to release its beneficial properties .

Mix everything together and place them in a blender.

Blend it well to form a smooth paste and apply it to your face.

Rinse off after 20-30 minutes.

This mask will lighten your blemishes and even out skin tone giving it a healthy glow.

Lavender and Sea Salt Exfoliator

Ingredients:

1/3rd Cup Olive Oil
1/3rd Cup Sea Salt
1 Tbsp. Raw Honey
8-10 Drops Lavender Essential Oil

Instructions:

Mix everything in a bowl.

Apply liberally to your Body.

Let it sit for about 5 minutes.

Exfoliate gently.

This is an excellent exfoliator to slough off dead skin and it also makes an amazingly relaxing treat because of Lavender and Sea Salt’s soothing and relaxing properties.

Ingredients:

1 Tbsp. Bentonite Clay
1 Tbsp. Sour Cream
1 Tsp. Raw Honey

Instructions:

Mix everything together.

Apply it to your face(avoid the eye area because  clay tends to dry up the delicate eye area.)

Rinse off after 15-20 minutes.

This mask has a detoxing effect. It draws out all the toxins and impurities and leaves your skin feeling soft, fresh and smooth.

Lactic acid in sour cream also lightens scars and blemishes.
