12 Highly Effective Natural Remedies to Flu-proof Your Family this Flu Season!

Flu season is here but  there is no need to panic! Boosting your immunity should be the focus to prevent any illnesses be it flu or any other viral or bacterial infections. Flu vaccine is the last thing that you would want to get as it is one of the worst vaccines with higher number of vaccine damages. Here are some of my recommendations for boosting your children’s immune system during this flu season.

Vitamin D- Sunlight(preferably) or Carlson D Drops 1000 IU(available here) per day for babies and children.
At the first sign of any illness double it up for a week and go back to the regular dosage.

Vitamin C rich fruits for regular use.
Sodium Ascorbate at the first sign of any illness. This dose really depends on everyone’s tolerance level. Up to 1000mg a day for babies and small children. Break it up into 3-4 doses like 250mg×4 times a day.

Omega 3

Holy Basil Tea if they can drink it or a paste made with raw honey(not for babies below 12 months), turmeric and 3 fresh holy basil leaves. This is a very effective immune boosting Ayurvedic remedy! Or just raw honey and turmeric.

Indian Gooseberry powder in smoothies. It is a very rich source of Vitamin C.

Moringa is another Superfood high in Vitamin C and other immune boosting vitamins and minerals.

Sprinkle lemon and minced raw garlic on your child’s food. You can easily disguise them in soup or curry.

Hylands Bioplasma 1 tab 3 times a day. It contains Iron, Calcium and Magnesium along with other cell salts.

Boswellia Extract for children 3 years and up. 1/3rd the adult dose.

ACV in food or water if they can drink.

Elderberry syrup at the first sign of respiratory tract infection symptoms. It is a potent antiviral!
